Peer Writing

Sir Bernard Smythe-Forsythe the fourth
surveyed his lands, his wealth, his life;
decided, in his later years to turn to writing
as a new career.
His writing style reflected him;
Brash, brooding, boorish, trite.
He chose at random, Random House
to send his novel.
“Dear Sir Bernard,” they wrote back,
“Your manuscript is not for us.
We hope you find a better fit.”
He tore it up.
He was, for sure, a dark and stormy knight.
